To say that today was a "special" day at First Baptist Dawson would not be doing this amazing day justice!  We were honored to have Dr. Joe Savage with us.  Joe spoke at 11:00, 4:00, and 6:00.  The church gathered for a fellowship meal at 5:00.  I was thrilled to see the membership of FBC Dawson show up with a strong show of support for these meetings as well as surpass all my expectations for the number of members who purchased books to go through the study.

Joe spoke on the Holy Spirit in all three sessions.  He was kicking off a church-wide, forty-day study on the Holy Spirit as our church prepares to work through Joe's book, More of God, More of Me.

In the context of sharing with us about the Holy Spirit, Joe told us the captivating story of the Twelve23 movement which he is overseeing from his position with the University of Mobile.  Twelve23 is a grassroots effort to coordinate prayer for revival in America.  Specifically, the movement is asking Christians to stop and pray at 12:23 each day during the month of October.

I encourage all of you to take a moment and explore Joe's ministry as well as the Twelve23 site.  Help us spread the word about this movement.  Also, if your church or ministry would like to hear a prophetic and challenging word to the body of Christ today (and perhaps especially if your church would NOT like to hear such a word), may I encourage you to consider having Joe Savage out to your church?  He's a truly humble, gifted, and perceptive servant of God who was used of God mightily today in Dawson, GA.
