Re: The Wailin' Jennys

Eugene,

I had to Google "emo". I thought he was a character on Sesame Street.

Re: The Wailin' Jennys

First you don't know who Mos Def is, now you have to Google "Emo"!? I know someone who's getting a copy of the book version of "Stuff White People Like" for Christmas. stuffwhitepeoplelike.com/full-list-of-stuff-white-people-like/

Re: The Wailin' Jennys

Henry Pleasants, the great American music critic, once defined Uncle Wymie's taste in music as “inimitable, yet palpable and explicable.” Richardson’s flavor of the month is typically derived from the chartbuster compilations of the west coast. He marinates in the soulful, poignant, and often disturbing voices of urban artists. His quintessence is consistent, yet he strays from the mainline money-makers that annihilate day by day, album by album the once great music industry of the free world. To capture Uncle Wymie’s taste in music with one succinct phrase, “that creep can roll.”

Re: The Wailin' Jennys

Dear Emotive Scholar,That was beautiful and poignant. A tear almost taversed the contours of my face at that brilliant assessment of my musical tastes. And, indeed, "that creep can roll....Quintana." The only part I take issue with is "flavor of the month." I, sir, resent that. I'll have you know that I've listened to The Be Good Tanyas and Over the Rhine for about 27 months now. So THERE!

Eugene,They probably need a website for me entitled, "Stuff Really, Really, Really White People Like." First item? The Wailin' Jenny's music! Booyah!W
