Re: Malcolm Yarnell on 15 Books Christians Should Read
That's a pretty good list. My short list of books all Christians should read is: Fear and Trembling by Soren Kierkegaard Cost of Discipleship by Dietrich Bonhoeffer The Normal Christian Life by Watchman Nee
Other books that are really great are: The Spiritual Man by Watchman Nee My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers Lectures on Revival by Charles Finney The Cry of the Soul by Dan B. Allender and Tremper Longman III
I've also heard a lot of positive reviews for and look forward to reading Between Noon and Three by Robert Farrar Capon.

Re: Malcolm Yarnell on 15 Books Christians Should Read
Thanks Blake. I'm with you on Kierkegaard. I haven't read "Fear and Trembling" yet, but his "Attack Upon Christendom" and his journals were almost overpowering. Also like you I've heard a lot of good about Robert Capon, but I've yet to read him either.
As Michael Card said, "So many books, so little time..."
Blessings, Wyman

Lee,
A valid point. I did like his "Green Eggs and Soteriology." That was a good one!

W,
'The Eschatology Of The Chapeaued Feline' and 'The Ethical Dilemma Of The Covetous Sneetches' are my two favorites.

Re: Malcolm Yarnell on 15 Books Christians Should Read
Interesting list. Intersected about 5 of my favorite books. I wish he had included "The Practice of The Presence of God by "Brother Lawrence" as it greatly shaped and affected my course. Have you read "Cat in the Hat Theology"? I think one should read "The Inner Sanctum of the Ekklesia & their views of the Hypostatic Union".by D. Th. Smary Pants. I found "A Shepherd Looks At the Psalm 23" by Phillip Keller to be very useful and instructive for us laity types. I was happy so see some still read Watchman Nee. John Owen is a greater challenge to my reading ability and understanding than anything outside of scripture. Read on, gang, somebody has to do it.

Re: Malcolm Yarnell on 15 Books Christians Should Read
John,
"The Practice of the Presence of God" is indeed a great book! It's strange you mention Keller's book, btw: I've never read it but was given a copy just a couple of weeks ago. It looks like good devotional reading and I'm sure I'll read it in the near future. It's one of those books I've always heard of but have never read.
Always great to hear from you John. I bet it's hotter in Georgia than in Iowa!
