Really a great privilege getting to go out on visitation with my daughter tonight, and getting to speak to a man about the gospel. Posted 2 days ago

I suppose few people make as much sense as much of the time as Os Guinness.  I've been reading him for some years now, and I never do so without profit.

I've just finished listening to the recent IX Marks audio interview with Os.  It is, in my opinion, very helpful, very interesting, and...well...quintessential Os Guinness.

Go here to check it out.

[As an aside, about ten years ago I sent Os Guinness an email asking if I could interview him.  I was pastoring in Woodstock, GA, at the time.  Well, I didn't hear anything and frankly I forgot all about it.  So one day I went home for lunch and hit the button on my answering machine and what do I hear but this Irish accent saying, "Hello, Wyman, this is Os Guinness..."!  It was terribly unnerving for some reason!  He went on to say that he appreciated the offer but was going overseas (if I recall) and had a few writing deadlines, so he couldn't do the interview.  My friend Tyler Jones (a big Os fan who recently attended a dinner with him) and I still laugh about that!  Anyway, check the IX Marks interview out.]

Re: The Os Guinness IX Marks Interview on "Evangelical Christians and Modern America"

Love Os. It was a great honor to meet him. If anyone is interested, RZIM has that very event available on DVD at store.rzim.org/product/tabid/61/p-369-the-mystery-of-evil-the-sovereignty-of-good.aspx.

Much of what he shared is actually part of his book, "unspeakable..." which i haven't yet read but plan to.

Thanks for sharing, Y

Thanks TJ! I'd love to see that dvd. Sorry I couldn't attend that event. I bet it was great.
