I think my brother is a great pastor and preacher, and if you saw those qualities as well then, at the least, I knew we'd all be on the same wavelength. Now I've had the great honor and privilege of worshiping with you for four consecutive days. I've had numerous conversations with many of you about First Sebring. I've watched and I've tried to listen very closely. In the end, this is what I saw.
- First Baptist Sebring is a church with a very bright future.
- First Baptist Sebring has been gifted with a congregation that takes Jesus and His bride very seriously.
- First Baptist Sebring is seeking a movement of God in its midst.
- First Baptist Sebring is going to accomplish great, great things for the Kingdom.
I would like to thank you for the amazing hospitality and generosity you extended to me. While it is difficult to be away from my own church, being with a group of believers that so clearly embody Christlike love and kindness made the separation easier.
I would also like to thank you for the way that you love and provide for David, Laura, Katie, Elizabeth, Rachel, and Emerson. I'm immensely proud of and happy for my brother, my sister-in-law, my nieces, and my nephew. They love you very much and I can tell that you love them as well.
I thank you for your attentiveness during the revival services, as well as for your patience and kindness. It was truly a joy to worship with you!
I pray that God might in some way use the "Christ and His Church" messages to bless you as a church. If they play some small but helpful part, I will be most pleased and give all glory to God for it.
May God bless the First Baptist Church of Sebring, FL, and may He do great and wondrous things through this tremendous congregation!
Wyman

Re: A Word of Thanks to the First Baptist Church of Sebring, FL
You truly were a blessing and some of the finest preaching I've heard in a long time (not counting your brother). You guys could set the world on fire. You have made a tremendous impact on FBC Sebring and God will multiply the impact of your profound words and your rock solid preaching of his word, to see great things happen. God Bless and Thank You.

Matt,
You're too kind, brother, but I'm grateful for the encouragement. You guys did a good days work when you called Dave to be your pastor. There's an enthusiasm and energy about FBC Sebring that I could really feel while there. I pray that your best days are ahead of you and right now!
God bless you, Matt. It really was a joy to get to know you all and to worship with you.

One of my spies informed me that a traveler through the Tampa airport mentioned FBC Granada Hills. Was that you, Wyman?

Eugene,
I am in no wise averse to mentioning FBC Granada Hills, even in the Tampa Airport (FBC Granada Hills, btw, is, in fact, my favorite church in the greater Los Angeles area), but, alas, I was never in the Tampa Airport. :-)

I'll be sure to tell Erwin McManus, John MacArthur, Francis Chan and all the other wannabes that their churches didn't make the grade. :)

It was a great, great week, Wym!
Every one of your sermons hit the nail on the head. You preached them with passion and power. God certainly used you in a big way.
We will certainly have you back to Sebring in the future to do this all over again!
Thanks for a fine week.

I'm so thankful for the audio version of the sermons I have one more to hear, but they are awesome. Dad and I wish we could have been there.
