Dr. James Earl Massey was one of my three project supervisors when I did the Doctor of Ministry at the Beeson Divinity School.  I was delighted that Dr. Massey agreed to this (back in 2004), because during my time there I came to regard  him (and regard him still) as an amazing combination of homiletical power, Christian scholarship, and (to coin a phrase) Christian gentlemanliness.

I see that he is delivering this year's William E. Conger, Jr. Lectures on Biblical Preaching at Beeson from March 2-4.  I will be unable to attend because of a prior engagement...but were I not so engaged, and were I able to find a way, I would be there.
