James Grant has pointed out that Chapter 1 of N.T. Wright's response to John Piper (and others) has been released as a .pdf by IVP.  The chapter ("What's All This About And Why Does it Matter?") is interesting in its own right, but I was particularly struck by this statement from Wright about the need for a "Christian ethic of blogging."

On the way back to hear R.C. Sproul one afternoon at the conference, my brother Dave and I stopped for a quick stroll through the humbly titled "Mary Queen of the Universe" shrine that sits right on I-4 there in Orlando.  I've driven by it a thousand times over the years, and, dadgummit, I decided to take a look see!  Now, forget the very odd irony of stopping at something called the "Mary Queen of the Universe" shrine on the way to hear R.C. Sproul (just ponder that!), and take a look instead at this picture I took of a statue in the back of the sanctuary.

This coming Thursday through Sunday, my brother David and I will be attending the 2009 Ligonier conference in Orlando, FL, on "The Holiness of God."  In preparation for this conference, I just finished reading R.C. Sproul's The Holiness of God.  I'm ashamed to admit that I have never read this great work before.
